During the lockdown, many activities gained public attention, one among them is K-pop entertainment. K-pop is Korean Pop music that grabbed international attention for a couple of years now.

Along with K-pop, K-drama/movies achieved an equal share of attention as well.

I had been watching K-drama since 2013. Therefore, I assume I am eligible enough to suggest a couple of movies now.

K-dramas are well known for their gentle romance. Most of the genres that you pick will have a romantic element to them. I like movies sticking to their specific genre. Therefore, these are the two movies that I felt did live up to my expectations in K-movies sports categories.

As One

I recommend this movie to anyone who loves sports and its history. This is a true story of North and South Korea teaming up to win gold in table tennis and they do win it at the end. The fascinating journey of a divided nation joining hands and playing unitedly, facing all ups and downs, learning to trust each other, and growing together, made me pick this movie and it did not fail me.

Do check the trailer and give it a try.

Baseball Girl

It is about a girl on all boy’s baseball teams in high school, who struggles to persuade her dream to get into a pro team despite being lead down by her family and coach. It is a feel-good movie of a girl striving to achieve her goal while satisfying her mom.

If you love a Sport-movie with a romantic angle to it, then I have only one recommendation for you and that is

To the Beautiful You

It is about a girl who disguises herself as a boy and enters a boys’ sports academy to encourage her Sports idol and inspire him to win the medal in Olympics. I could say it has 50% romantic element to it, but you get to see a lot of sports and fun activities as well.

I wouldn’t say they are the best. But they are the ones I like and suggest for you.

Hope you guys like my picks. Share your views with me.

See you next time.
